Illuminated Signage

There are several common materials used in fabricating 3D illuminated indoor and outdoor signs.

Acrylic: Acrylic is used in making illuminated signs since it allows for various shapes and color combinations. Acrylic is also translucent, light and durable.​

​Aluminum: Aluminium, being a sturdy material, is capable of restating extreme weather conditions. An aluminum sign can be left in its natural color, 2 Pac painted, or powder coated in different shades and designs.

Stainless steel: Stainless steel can be bent or formed to achieve almost any shape. Stainless steel can be brushed or polished and even anodized depending on the desired look you are trying to achieve.

Here are some of the common finishes used on Fabricated 3D signage:

Painted finish: This is one of the popular finishes for illuminated 3D signs. Glossy, matte, or metallic paints are used for an even finish.

Powder-coated finish: Dry powder paint adhesion, resulting in a durable coating. This powder is electrostatically sprayed onto the surface of the sign, which bakes after processing in an oven.

Brushed finish: A brushed finish has been embraced by metals like stainless steel to provide a 3D, textured, appearance to fabricated signage.

Polished finish: This finish provides an almost glossy appearance, and therefore a reflective quality, for illuminated 3D signage. For instance, one can apply it to various types of metals, including stainless steel and Aluminium, for a polished or classy look.

Anodised finish: Anodization is the process of treating Aluminium with an acid solution that creates a durable surface coating to the Aluminium.
